Shannons Wheels 2012 Canberra Display Day | Sunday 25 March 2012

One of three major annual events in the Canberra Region, hosted by the Council of ACT Motor Clubs. This has been an annual event since 1982 and is part of the Canberra Festival. A large number of wonderful Classic Cars from Canberra and surrounding regions will be on display.

The annual Council of ACT Motor Clubs Shannons Wheels vehicle display on Sunday 25 March 2012 was relocated to Canberra racecourse, known as Thoroughbred Park, Randwick Road, Lyneham (adjacent to the Exhibition Park).

Relocation was necessary because the National Capital Authority was concerned about possible damage to the lawn in front of Old Parliament House, following the recent heavy rain experienced in the Canberra.

Membership Renewals & Conditional Registration

The British & European Automobile Club (Southern Highlands NSW) Inc. financial year is from 1 April to 31 March the following year. Included with the February BEACon Newsletter is your Membership Renewal Form.

The Treasurer and Membership Registrar appreciate your assistance in completing and returning your Membership Renewal Form promptly, thank you. This is especially critical if you drive a car on Conditional Registration.

The rules for driving a car on conditional registration are very clear. You must be a financial member of an RTA accredited car club to enjoy the privilege of driving a conditionally registered car on the road. If you are not a financial member then you are driving an unregistered and uninsured car.

If you have a Conditionally Registered car then you must be a financial member on 1 April 2012.
